KIRKLAND, WA (NOVEMBER 8, 2013) – AAOA Healthcare, located in Kirkland, Washington, announced the launch of "The Portfolio," a private group benefit Marketplace for Washington companies. The Portfolio is now enrolling companies for a January 1 effective date. This is the latest step of innovation at AAOA Healthcare as it continues to provide unique benefit solutions for companies.
Healthcare strategy surrounding employee benefits is shifting to an individual choice model empowering employees to select the benefit plan that meets their needs instead of a one benefit plan fits all approach. With all of the talk of private exchanges, AAOA built a private exchange powered by UnitedHealthcare Multi-Choice®. This private group benefit exchange runs on AAOA's proprietary software platform and uses AAOA Healthcare's online decision making tools. Employers will be able to offer four or more ACA compliant plan choices to their employees in AAOA's Portfolio exchange. Members are also able to choose from a variety of dental and vision plan selections.
